Thomas Smith founded Smith's in 1968. Now, over 38 years later, it is still owned and run by the Smith family. During this time, the company has gone from strength to strength. Starting as a local glass merchant, it has now become one of the largest and most respected manufacturers and installers of uPVC conservatories, porches windows and roofsurrounds in the home counties. |
| Although we have kept our original site in Rayleigh Road Thundersley, this has become a dedicated showroom for all our products, all our manufacturing now takes place in our purpose-built facilities on Purdeys Industrial Estate in Rochford Essex. These two 10,000 feet factories with offices, house one of the largest state of the art window, conservatory and glass sealed unit fabrication operations in Essex. Together with a large storage area for our roofsurround products, the company is self sufficient, with everything in-house. |
